Mermaids love it when people help keep their home world clean! Although rare, sometimes mermaids will appear during beach cleanups. In Traverse City, Michigan, Mermaid Phantom swam up to Bryant Park Beach to thank the volunteers who spent their Saturday morning picking up trash with "FLOW for Water."
FLOW (For the Love of Water) for Water is a group dedicated to preserving & protecting the Great Lakes. Part of how they do this is by getting the TC community involved in caring for Lake Michigan via organizing beach cleanups. (You can learn more about FLOW for Water by visiting: http://flowforwater.org) At one of their beach cleanups, a mermaid appeared to thank volunteers for their help in keeping Lake Michigan clean and beautiful. ♥
